Lake Minnehaha Sunset

Lake Minnehaha Sunset

Regular price $30.00

Henry Wadsworth Longfellow wrote about "Minnehaha" in his  "Song of Hiawatha." The name was also given to Lake Minnehaha, one of the largest bodies of water in Central Florida's Clermont Chain of Lakes. Decades ago, citrus was harvested in nearby groves, loaded onto barges, and transported through narrow canals, across the lakes to waiting trains. Today, it's a very popular lake for boating, waterskiing, and fishing (one of our favorite pastimes). Lisa Faire captured this beautiful scene one June evening after a rainstorm, just as dusk was settling across the water. No two sunsets are ever the same, and we can't help but marvel at the amazing artistry of God and His paintbrush!
